I took a bullet during an event for a new charity I’m setting up. Turns out certain parts of Gotham don’t like it when you’re trying to cut off their supply of desperate kids willing to do anything for money.

Damn it. That happened to me in 'Haven. But Babs ignored me when I said I didn't need help and pulled the Titans in as back up. That's why I wear my uniform under my clothes about half the time.

No kidding. I mean, I'm used to people trying to kill me. But it's usually the suit, not Dick Grayson being shot at.

I definitely recommend having people there you trust beyond the regular security. Though it's easier for me because I was publicly dating Starfire at one point.

So your parents are still alive, then?

[It's a good question because it's not like Dick's or Jason's parents were still alive when they came to Bruce. And if pressed, that's what he'll blame the question on.]

I'm glad you were able to get out. I'll be honest, I'd already come to that conclusion, but was working on how to tell younger you. But I'm not sure you're ready to hear it at that age. It's a lot.
